Adult Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a community - based program that allows persons to remain in the home and work environment while participating in substance abuse treatment. IOP repuires a commitment to 10 hours a week programming for 8 weeks
- There are 3 groups and 1 individual session per week.
- Treatment groups consist of: Stabilization Group, Step group, and Relapse Prevention Group.
The IOP Program follows a continuum of care model:
- Pre-treatment Group - 4 weeks of educational and motivational counseling
- IOP - 8 weeks of primary treatment components
- Relapse Prevention Group ( Aftercare) - 6 months of on-going recovery support and counseling

- Motivational, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused approaches
- Substance Abuse education
- Spirituality component
- Relapse prevention planning
- Family education groups
- Follow-up contacts and support
- Aftercare support
ADMISSION CRITERIA
- Adults (under age 19 assessed for appropriateness)
- Admission assessment
- Referral by internal or external agency, family or friend
The cost of counseling is based upon the individual's ability to pay. South Central Behavioral Services, Inc. accepts Medicaid and most major insurance.
